How Much Does Youth Basketball Cost in Regina?
Every price we charge, in one place, with what each one actually buys. Plus what to do if the number is the reason your child would miss out.

- A 10-week league season is $450. A three-day break camp is $185. A week of summer camp is $350.
- Weekly training runs on session credits: a membership from $450 a quarter, or a $650 Family Pack a whole family shares.
- Open gym is $10 to drop in and free with any membership.
- BOOST Kids covers a full year for families who need it, funded by local businesses, at no cost to the family.
Sports pricing is usually vague on purpose. "Contact us for rates" is a sentence designed to get you on the phone. We would rather you saw the numbers now and decided in your own kitchen.
Here is what basketball at HoopLife in Regina costs, what each price includes, and where the money actually goes.

What that works out to per hour
The sticker price is the wrong number to compare. Work out the hourly cost instead:
- A league season is ten nights of 90 minutes to two hours. At $450, that is roughly $23 to $25 an hour of coached, officiated basketball.
- A Rookie membership at $450 a quarter is 12 coached hours plus unlimited open gym — under $38 an hour before the open gym is counted at all, and a lot less once it is.
- Summer camp at $350 is a full week of days. Per hour, it is the cheapest thing we sell, which is why it fills first.
Compare that to a private one-on-one coach anywhere in the city and the picture changes quickly.
Where the money goes
We own our building. The HoopLife Centre is a full-size regulation hardwood court with six adjustable hoops, shot clocks on both ends and a premium scoreboard, plus a turf room and a lounge with a window onto the court. That is unusual for youth sport in this province, where most programs rent school gyms by the hour and lose their booking whenever the school needs it back.
Owning it is why sessions run every week of the year including summer, why nothing gets bumped, and why the hoops actually lower for the little kids. It is also most of what your fee pays for, along with the coaches on the floor.
If the price is the problem
Please tell us instead of quietly not signing up. There are three routes:
- BOOST Kids. A local business sponsors a child's full year at HoopLife — a year-long membership, school support and mentorship from our coaches. It costs the family nothing. Anyone can apply, any time of year. Nobody in the gym knows which kids are BOOST Kids unless the family says so.
- Payment plans. Available on the league on request. Ask at the front desk.
- The Family Pack. If you have two or three kids, 20 shareable credits for $650 is usually the cheapest way to keep all of them playing.
We have never wanted the cost of a season to be the reason a kid in this city misses out.
The cheapest way to find out if it is worth it
$10. The Get Started package is a development planning meeting with a HoopLife Director plus a first training session. If it turns out basketball is not your child's thing, you have spent ten dollars finding out.
