What three days actually change
Three days is enough to move a player and short enough that any family can do it over a long weekend break.
The daily camp schedule
Three hours a day, every day of the camp. Ages 7-10 start at 8:00 AM, ages 11-13 at 11:00 AM and ages 14-17 at 2:00 PM. The day runs the same way whatever time your group starts.
What players will experience
Skill development training
An hour of shooting, ball handling and finishing in small groups, with a coach correcting habits in the moment.
Leadership and character
Every day has a leadership and character block. It is the part parents tell us about months later.
Basketball IQ drills
Reading the floor, spacing, decisions: the part of the game that keeps working after the camp ends.
Team tournament games
Players plan with their coach and then play real games, with strategy that actually gets used.
Coached from a written playbook, not off the cuff
A camp day here is not recess with basketballs. Every day is coached from HoopLife's written coaching library: practice plans built around four training themes, every drill diagrammed, and every coach trained on the same playbook and the same basketball vocabulary.
Off-ball movement
Your kid has the ball for a fraction of the game. We coach the rest of it: cutting, spacing, and getting open, so they matter on every possession.
Defence & communication
Positioning, help defence, closeouts, and talking on the floor. The loudest team usually wins, and we teach kids exactly what to say.
Creating advantages
Screens, handoffs and reads: how to beat a defender with your brain, not just your speed. This is the part most programs never teach.
Shooting form & shot selection
Clean mechanics and footwork, plus the judgment to know a good shot from a bad one. Both halves matter, so we coach both.
Character, confidence and leadership are why families stay. This is the other promise: the basketball itself is expert-level, and it is written down.
Fun, competitive and high-energy
Mini-games and competitions
Contests and skill competitions run all camp in a fun, high-pressure environment, and every winner takes a prize home.
Daily team tournament
Players work with their coach on a game plan and playing together, then take it straight into real games.
Daily awards and prizes
Every day closes with awards for effort, improvement and performance, not just for the best player in the gym.
Every minute is at the HoopLife Centre
A full-size regulation court, six adjustable hoops and a lounge for parents, at 661 Solomon Cres. No borrowed school gym, no hunting for the door.

Keep them in the gym
Camp is a great few days. What makes it last is the rest of the year. Our weekly sessions run every week including all summer, so they can be back in the gym the week after camp.
Questions, answered
How long is it, and what are the times?
Three days, three hours a day, nine hours in total. Ages 7-10 run 8:00 to 11:00 AM, ages 11-13 run 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and ages 14-17 run 2:00 to 5:00 PM, at the HoopLife Centre, 661 Solomon Cres.
How much is it?
$185 for the camp, and a camp is capped at 32 kids so every player gets real coaching.
What ages is it for?
Ages 7 to 17, grouped into three age bands so a seven-year-old is never thrown in with a sixteen-year-old. All levels, including kids who have never played.
My kid has never played. Will they be lost?
No. Groups are set by age and ability, coaches are on the floor the whole time, and the camp is built so a first-timer and a club player both get something out of it.
What should they bring?
A labelled basketball, a labelled water bottle, indoor non-marking court shoes, athletic clothing and a snack.
What does the Unshakeable partnership mean?
This camp runs in partnership with Unshakeable Sports Ministry, so the leadership and character sessions include Christian teaching alongside the basketball. Everything else is the same camp we run all year.
What if the cost is a stretch for us right now?
We never want cost to be the reason a child misses out. There is funding support through BOOST Kids, and we will do what we can. Just ask.
What happens after the camp?
Most families carry on with weekly sessions, which run every week of the year. Easter is a great few days; the sessions are what make it stick.
Is this real coaching, or supervised drills?
Real coaching. HoopLife runs on a written coaching library: practice plans organized around four training themes (off-ball movement, defence and communication, creating advantages, and shooting), with every drill diagrammed and every coach trained on the same playbook and the same basketball vocabulary. Nothing about the hour is improvised.
Their best three days of the spring
Three days, 32 spots a camp, and they go. Get their spot before it fills.
