1-on-1 Basketball Training in Regina
One coach, one player, one hour on the thing that is actually holding them back. Tell us what you want fixed. We will match your athlete with the right coach, or tell you honestly if a group session would do more for less.

An undivided hour fixes a named problem
1-on-1 is the most expensive hour in basketball, and it earns that when there is something specific to work on. These are the four reasons families book it and get their money back in a month.
There is one thing you can name
The shot has drifted sideways. They cannot finish with their left. They travel on every jump stop. A coach with an undivided hour fixes a named problem far faster than a group can.
A tryout is close
School team, club team, a provincial camp. When there is a date and one thing standing between your athlete and it, this is the hour that moves the needle.
They are coming back from an injury or a long gap
Rebuilding a shot, a landing or plain confidence, without doing it in front of a gym full of other kids first.
They are too shy to join in
One or two private hours are often the bridge into a group session. That is a good outcome, and we will tell you when they are ready to make the move.
We will talk you out of it if it is the wrong hour
We would rather sell you the right hour than the expensive one. If any of these is the reason you are here, a weekly group session and a league season will do more for your athlete, and cost you less.
Every minute is theirs
No lines, no waiting
In a group of eight your athlete gets a share of the coach. Here they get all of it, for sixty minutes, with a correction on every rep instead of every fourth one.
Built on the day, for them
The session is planned around the fix and adjusted live. If something is not landing, the coach changes it there and then rather than running a plan that was written for somebody else. And the coach is not improvising either: every HoopLife coach trains on the same written coaching library and speaks the same basketball vocabulary, so what your athlete learns here matches what they hear in every group session and league night.
You get told the truth
At the end you hear where your athlete actually is, what changed, and what to do before the next one. Including, when it is true, that they are done and should go back to group work.

Five steps, and then it ends
Treat it as a project rather than a standing booking. That is what turns an expensive hour into a change you can see in a game.
Name the fix
Tell us what you want different and we will tell you honestly whether an hour alone is the way to get it. Not sure? The $10 Get Started package is a planning meeting with a HoopLife Director that exists to produce exactly this answer.
We match the coach
Coaches are not interchangeable. A shooting rebuild, a guard's handle under pressure and a big's footwork are three different specialists, and we pick from our staff on what your athlete actually needs.
Book a block, not a subscription
Four to six sessions on the one thing, with ten minutes of homework a day in between. A block has a target and an end, which is what makes it worth the money, and we will tell you when it is done.
Test it in a real game
A 3x3 session or a league night. If it does not survive somebody trying to stop it, it is not fixed yet, and we keep going.
Tell us about your athlete
There is no fixed rate on this page because there is no fixed session: the price depends on the coach and the length of the block. Tell us what you want fixed and we will come back with the coach, the plan and the cost. If a group session would do more for less, we will say that instead.
Ask about 1-on-1 training
Leave your name and email and a HoopLife coach will get back to you with a plan and a price for your athlete.
Get the diagnosis first, for $10
Most families who ask about 1-on-1 do not yet know what they want fixed, and that is the hardest part. The $10 Get Started package is a planning meeting with a HoopLife Director plus a training session, and you leave with a written answer: where your athlete is, what is holding them back, and whether an hour alone is the way to fix it.
Questions, answered
What does 1-on-1 training cost?
It depends on the coach and the length of the block, so we quote it once we know what your athlete needs rather than publishing a rate that would be wrong for half the people reading it. Tell us what you are trying to fix using the form on this page, or call or text 306-993-4570, and you will get a straight answer and a price the same way.
How many sessions does it take?
Usually four to six focused sessions on one thing, with short daily practice in between, then back to group work. We would rather tell you it is fixed than sell you a standing weekly booking.
Who is it for?
Any level, from a player brand new to basketball who is too shy for a group, to a competitive athlete chasing one specific gain. What matters is that there is something to work on, not how good they already are.
Can we choose our coach?
You can ask, and we will do it where the schedule allows. Most families let us match them, because we know which of our coaches is the right specialist for the thing you have described.
Is this better than the weekly group sessions?
Not usually, and we will say so. For most players the best value is a weekly session in a group of eight plus a league season for real games. 1-on-1 sits on top of that when there is a reason.
Can my athlete do both?
Yes, and that is the usual pattern: the group session and the league keep the reps and the games going, and a short 1-on-1 block runs alongside to fix one thing. Weekly sessions run off membership or session-pack credits; 1-on-1 is billed separately.
Where and when does it run?
At the HoopLife Centre, 661 Solomon Cres, Regina, on our own courts. Times are arranged around your athlete and the coach rather than a fixed timetable, so they can sit outside the weekly schedule entirely.
What should they bring?
A basketball, indoor non-marking court shoes, athletic clothing and a water bottle. That is it. We have spare balls if you forget.
Is this real coaching, or supervised drills?
Real coaching. HoopLife runs on a written coaching library: practice plans organized around four training themes (off-ball movement, defence and communication, creating advantages, and shooting), with every drill diagrammed and every coach trained on the same playbook and the same basketball vocabulary. Nothing about the hour is improvised.
Tell us what you want fixed
One coach, one player, one hour built around your athlete. We will match the coach, give you a plan and a price, and tell you honestly if a group session would do more.
